Il progetto \u00e8 stato il vincitore della 4a edizione del Consiglio italiano (2018), un concorso ideato dalla direzione generale per la Creativit\u00e0 contemporanea e la rigenerazione urbana &#8211; un organismo del Ministero per i beni, le attivit\u00e0 e il turismo italiano.<\/p>\n<p>Dopo la presentazione al centro Mediamatic di Amsterdam, la Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro ospiter\u00e0 il primo passo della narrativa transmediale di Hic sunt dracones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>L&#8217;opera sar\u00e0 presentata nella sua interezza a gennaio 2020, con l&#8217;uscita della versione finale in occasione di una mostra al Museo Madre di Napoli<\/strong> &#8211; a cui l&#8217;opera viene donata &#8211; insieme alla presentazione del libro dell&#8217;artista come parte integrante parte dell&#8217;intero progetto.<\/p>\n<p>Il video Walking through the walls sar\u00e0 presentato nella suggestiva sede dello Studio Arnaldo Pomodoro e visto con le cuffie Oculus GO e MEZE AUDIO, per sperimentarlo in modo collettivo e coinvolgente.<\/p>\n<p>::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro<\/strong><br \/>\npresents<\/p>\n<p><strong>FRANCESCO BERTEL\u00c9<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em>Walking through the walls<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n(40\u2019 VR 360\u00b0 ambisonic)<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nThursday, December 12th, 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>from 5pm to 8pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Studio Arnaldo Pomodoro<\/strong><br \/>\nVia Vigevano, 3 \u2013 Milan<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<table class=\"divider\" role=\"presentation\" border=\"0\" width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr valign=\"top\">\n<td class=\"divider_inner\" valign=\"top\">\n<table class=\"divider_content\" role=\"presentation\" border=\"0\" width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" align=\"center\">\n<tbody>\n<tr valign=\"top\">\n<td valign=\"top\" height=\"0\"><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<p>On Thursday December 12th at 5pm, the video\u00a0<em><strong>Walking through the walls<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(40\u2019 VR 360\u00b0 ambisonic) will be presented at Studio Arnaldo Pomodoro, as part of the project\u00a0<em><strong>Hic sunt dracones<\/strong><\/em>by the artist\u00a0<strong>Francesco Bertel\u00e9<\/strong>, curated by\u00a0<strong>Chiara Pirozzi<\/strong>\u00a0and promoted by\u00a0<strong>Fondazione Made in Cloister<\/strong>. The project was the winner of the 4th edition of the<strong>\u00a0Italian Council<\/strong>\u00a0(2018), a competition conceived by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity and Urban Regeneration \u2013 an organism of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Activities and Tourism.<\/p>\n<p>After the presentation at Amsterdam\u2019s Mediamatic center,\u00a0<strong>Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro<\/strong>\u00a0will host the first step of\u00a0<strong><em>Hic sunt dracones<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0transmedial narrative. The work will be presented in its entirety in\u00a0<strong>January 2020<\/strong>, with the release of the final version on the occasion of an exhibition at\u00a0<strong>Naples\u2019 Museo Madre<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 to which the work is being donated &#8211; together with the presentation of the artist&#8217;s book as an integral part of the entire project.<\/p>\n<p>The video\u00a0<em><strong>Walking through the walls<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0will be presented in the evocative venue of\u00a0<strong>Studio Arnaldo Pomodoro<\/strong>\u00a0and viewed with Oculus GO and\u00a0<strong>MEZE AUDIO<\/strong>\u00a0headphones, to experience it in a collective immersive way. The video is completed by a soundtrack composed by the musician\u00a0<strong>Bienoise<\/strong>\u00a0and editing meant to create a physical and tangible link between the artist, his experience and the performance acting on the end-user.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Hic sunt dracones<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is the product of a long and complex research project carried out by Francesco Bertel\u00e9 over several years. Since 2018 it has included an exploratory performance carried out by the artist and his team: a sideways climb along the northern cliff of an island in the Mediterranean Sea.<br \/>\nThe exploratory action carried out by the artist, suspended between sky and sea on a rocky coast that geologically belongs to the African tectonic plate but politically to Europe, has been mapped with the aid of advanced digital technologies. These have transformed it into an individual and unique route where up-to-date Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies blend with insights generated from themes such as the geopolitics of the border, the manipulation of information and the \u2018error\u2019 as a gap between physical and altered reality. The result is a disconnect between present time and that of experience, as well as a sensory distortion in hybrid and over-stimulated environments &#8211; in other words, a place where the threshold of certainty might be crossed with the aim of constructing and inhabiting unexplored spaces, starting from the cognitive perceptions of each individual..<\/p>\n<p>Francesco Bertel\u00e9\u2019s research in\u00a0<strong><em>Hic sunt dracones<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is energised with theoretical insight by authors who have written critical essays in the artist\u2019s book. It is formalised in the experimental use of digital technologies and in the creation of an environmental installation, through a collaboration between the artist and the FabLab\u00a0<strong>Recipient.Cc.<\/strong>\u00a0The strongly dematerialised nature of this installation \u2013 able to redefine the space of vision, models of use and narrative experiences in a revolutionary way (S.
